Alexander Stross Sues Compass and Side for Copyright Infringement of Photos

Photographer Alexander Stross sues Compass and Side for copyright infringement, claiming unauthorized use of his listing photos caused him financial harm.

Real estate photographer Alexander Stross is taking legal action against Compass and Side, claiming they infringed on his copyright by using his photos without permission.

Details of the Lawsuit

On Friday, Stross filed twin lawsuits in the U.S. District Court in Austin, targeting both companies and certain individuals linked to them.

He alleges that their unauthorized use of his listing images has caused him financial harm.

Copyright Registration

The lawsuits reveal that Stross has eight original photographs registered with the U.S. Copyright Office.

He argues that the defendants improperly accessed and used these images for their marketing.

Demands and Company Responses

Stross is asking for a jury trial and is demanding the defendants hand over any profits made from the alleged infringement, as well as compensating him for his losses and legal costs.

While Compass has chosen to remain silent on the matter, Side has yet to respond to requests for comment.
