Oren Alexander Faces Fifth Civil Lawsuit Amid Ongoing Criminal Charges

Oren Alexander faces a fifth civil lawsuit for alleged assault alongside his brother amid serious criminal charges, as their real estate empire crumbles.

Oren Alexander, a prominent real estate broker, finds himself under increasing scrutiny as a fifth civil lawsuit emerges amid ongoing criminal charges at both state and federal levels.

This latest lawsuit, filed by Colorado resident Maylen Gehret, alleges that Oren and his twin brother, Alon, drugged and assaulted her in a hotel during the Winter X Games in 2017, when she was just 17 years old.

Allegations of Assault

The lawsuit outlines a troubling account of events.

Gehret claims that she and a friend, identified only as Witness One, were invited to party with the Alexander brothers.

However, what was supposed to be a night of fun reportedly took a sinister turn.

Gehret states that while Alon assaulted her in a bathroom, Oren made an attempt to assault Witness One.

The allegations spiral into a disturbing narrative.

At one point, Alon is accused of trying to engage with another woman—referred to as Witness Two—who was apparently unconscious in the hotel room.

Feeling alarmed by the situation, Gehret allegedly hurriedly collected her belongings and left with Witness Two.

Legal Troubles and Denials

This new lawsuit adds to the troubling series of civil cases that have surfaced against the Alexander brothers since March.

The first two complaints were filed by women against both Oren and Alon, followed by a lawsuit from a third woman, Angelica Parker, which included all three brothers.

Legal troubles intensified for the siblings in December when they were apprehended in Miami on serious charges related to criminal sex trafficking at both state and federal levels.

Following their arrest, one of the alleged victims identified in the federal charges filed a civil suit against them.

The Alexander brothers have repeatedly denied all allegations of sexual assault, labeling the civil lawsuits as extortion attempts aimed at extracting money from them.

Impact on Career and Business

Currently, both brothers are incarcerated in a federal facility and are working to secure their release.

Prosecutors argue that their significant wealth and global connections pose a flight risk, complicating matters.

Initially, the twins were granted a $3 million bond related to state charges, but their release has been stalled while the federal charges remain pending.

During a recent federal court appearance, Alon was denied bail, while Oren’s hearing has been postponed until early January.

Tal Alexander, the third brother, faces similar hurdles concerning his bond situation.

Once celebrated as elite brokers in the competitive markets of Miami and New York City, the Alexander brothers boasted an impressive client list.

However, the mounting legal troubles have led to the shuttering of their brokerage, Official Partners.

Complicating matters further, Side, the brokerage firm associated with Official Partners, has initiated legal action against the brothers.

They claim the Alexanders defaulted on a $4.6 million promissory note after dissociating their real estate licenses.

The Alexander brothers contend that this situation was orchestrated by Side to manipulate the circumstances of the alleged default.

In addition to these disputes, Side has sought a preliminary injunction against Tal and Oren, aiming to prevent them from transferring or liquidating assets related to the loan.

The Department of Justice has also requested documents from Douglas Elliman, where Oren and Tal launched their careers, as part of its ongoing investigation.
